Phil Whitaker was born in Kent, really quite a long time ago. He has lived in a variety of locations around the UK including Nottingham, where he studied in medicine, and Oxford, where he undertook postgraduate training in general practice. He now lives in Somerset with his wife, Lynn, and their two young children.

Phil writes using a word processor. For historical reasons he is wedded to WordPerfect, which he considers a whole lot better than Word.

Whenever possible, Phil sources his ideas locally. If he has to use imported ideas, he makes sure they’re fairly traded and, ideally, organic.
