Elizabeth Ashton started writing books for Mills and Boon in the late 1960's Her stories were mostly in her native England and European settings. I am slowly reading all the vintage harlequins and as I do I add details to the descriptions in bold.
Mills and Boon published romances in Canada as Harlequin Romances and each book had a number. I focus on this series because it is available in the United States. But many early Harlequin authors wrote books published in England, that never made it to the United States, and there are several titles written by Ashton. I haven't read these books ,they are hard to find, but the list is below.
